Origin: France – Type: IPA – Alcohol: 4,7%
The beer: Gallia IPA is a new beer that has been launched recently in Paris (April 2014). It is a nice hoppy beer and quite easy to drink. The nose is very floral and really smells citra and amarillo hops however the taste is quite insipid comparing the nose – maybe not enough mature? We enjoyed it anyway as it was quite warm outside !
The little extra: A nice easy to drink IPA, a good one to try this beer style if you are not used to it!
Where we drunk it: At Bière et Malt, a little beer shop in Paris. There are few tables to drink on-site and some plates of cured meets and cheeses are served as well. The staff is very nice and gives good advices to choose the best beers. The place is cosy and has a nice atmosphere. Beers sold are mostly from Belgium but you can find also French and American beers along with the “special” beers available on a temporary basis. You can also buy beers to bring them at home! It is really a nice place to go if you want to have a nice beer tasting session !
